ISA Arborists
Whether you are planning on creating a new landscape or you just
want help ensuring that your current flora and trees are being
properly maintained, the services of a certified ISA arborist are
very important. The ISA, or International Society of Arboriculture,
is an organization that is dedicated to continually educating
arborists, and researching new and improved methods of tree care.
Though the ISA is international, there are local chapters for many
regions throughout the United States. Sutton Consulting Arborists is
a proud member of the ISA Florida chapter. In order to become an
ISA Certified Arborist , one must undergo a series of courses in
horticulture and then pass an exam. As a part of the ISA's
dedication to learning and research, they require their certified
arborists to continually take educational courses. ISA arborists
must take and pass a required number of education courses per year
in order to maintain their membership privileges.
When you do decide to hire an arborist, choosing a specific arborist
is something that will require a little research on your part. When
hiring an arborist, it is important to make sure you get a written
estimate or bid before you have any work done. It is also vital to
make sure that you and the arborist are on the same page regarding
such basics as the destructive nature of topping and demossing.

Tree
Moving
When it comes to general tree care and maintenance, moving a tree
requires the utmost amount of care and attention. At Sutton
Consulting Arborists, we are specialists in taking care of the wide
variety flora and trees that exist in the state of Florida, and we
can assist you with any and all tree moving needs you might have. We
will be there from beginning to end to ensure that the tree is moved
carefully and that all possible precautions are taken. When
relocating a tree, it is important to pay special attention to the
tree's roots. There are a few steps that can be taken before you
even begin the relocation process. A good, thorough watering can
help reduce the stress to the tree's roots, as can pruning
distressed or diseased limbs. Additionally, before you dig up the
tree, you might want to inject the roots with a fertilizer additive
that can help enhance root growth.
It is also very important to dig a proper hole for the tree's root
ball. Over-trimming the root ball can cause undue stress to the
tree, and this can ultimately harm or stunt the tree's growth and
adaptation to its new environment. Once the tree has been planted in
its new home, it is important to give it proper care. For instance,
newly replanted trees need proper watering--too much or too little
water can damage the roots.
